Compatibility and product boundaries

Understand how familiar forge workflows fit alongside Noumena-native source control and agent features.

Familiar compatibility

The product provides familiar repository, issue, pull request, branch, commit, comment, and account surfaces. Existing Git clients can use the repository commands exposed by the Clone menu.

Noumena-native features

The following features are intentionally more structured than a basic forge:

  • Smartlog exposes graph and draft context;
  • Stack Reviews keep dependency-aware changes together;
  • scoped workspaces connect source changes to a task and execution boundary;
  • cloud sessions start from repository work instead of an anonymous prompt;
  • issue tracking views expose linked work and dependencies;
  • usage, limits, and billing stay attached to the account and organization.

Choose the right surface

Use the compatibility surface when you need to bring an existing Git workflow across. Use the Noumena-native surface when you need a durable issue-to-workspace-to-review lifecycle. Both can point at the same repository; do not create parallel reviews for the same change just because you used two clients.
